Does anyone know any good Christmas movies?
My family is trying to watch a Christmas movie every Friday and Saturday before Christmas. We need family movies. Any suggestions? No R rated please. Thanks in advance!

The best Christmas movie of all-time IMO is “A Christmas Carol” with Allister Sims. Others include “A Christmas Story”, “It’s A Wonderful Life”, and the hilarious “Christmas Vacation”.
The Christmas Shoes…the Grinck who stole Christmas….the Nativity Story
Christmas in Connecticut (the original–younger kids may not like)
Shop Around the Corner (younger kids may not like)
It’s a Wonderful Life
Christmas Eve on Sesame Street
Santa Clause

A Charlie Brown Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated–the live action one stinks!)
Home Alone
Christmas Story
Miracle on 34th Street (any of them, the first is the best)
Babes in Toyland (1934 Laurel and Hardy version)
Charlie Brown and Grinch are short; you could watch them both in one night.
That seems like a great activity to spend with family members! Well, I like watching the Santa Claus series. Santa Claus, Santa Claus 2, and Santa Claus 3 “The Escape Claus”. It’s great for the kids in your family, and a decent one for the older members. Also, I heard there’s this wonderful dog christmas movie called “12 Dog Christmas”. That’ll probably last you about a month’s-worth of christmas movies (just enough before Christmas). So start makin those gingerbread cookies, turn up those christmas music to full volume, put in those DVD’s and get ready for the Holidays! I hope this helps!
usually at this time you can find a lot of good christmas movies on the lifetime channel and oxygen network. my favorites have always been A Charlie Brown Christmas and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

“How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, both the cartoon and Jim Carrey versions, “Christmas Vacation” with Chevy Chase and bunch…the Christmas light sequences always make me laugh!
“Home for the Holidays” is Thanksgiving, but very good, with many good actors (Holly Hunter, Ann Bancroft). “Pieces of April” is Thanksgiving, too, but like “Home for the Holidays” carries a timeless, good message. The last two movies are actually a couple of my all time favorites!
Edward Scissorhands (i know not a typical Christmas story but my little daughter loved it, carries a good message)

I love “Holiday Inn” – Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire – not just Christmas but starts & ends there. Also all the Rankin/Bass animated stuff like Rudolph, Frosty, Year Without A Santa Claus, Little Drummer Boy & Santa Claus Is Coming To Town + How the Grinch Stole Christmas. IF you can find it, “A Wish for Winfs that Work” is a very touching Christmas story with the Opus characters.
